Thank you for visiting my website and sharing in the memories of many clients who have graciously allowed me to display their images online.

As the homepage slideshow illustrates, photography is a means of exploration for me. Like finding rocks as a kid, it is about finding the beauty in everyday things.

My road to professional photography began with a career as a business analyst for American Airlines in the late 1980s. Still single, I'd spend most of my weekends experiencing discovery through travel and soon developed an interest in photography.

Within a short amount of time, I acquired a 35mm camera, special effects filters, enrolled in a summer course and all but memorized my camera's manual. I am predominately self-taught.

After 10 years in the airline industry, I went on to work as an analyst specializing in database marketing while continuing to nurture my love of still imaging.

Then, I turned the big '40' and decided it was time to pursue my heart's desire.

I used to paint with numbers. Now...I paint with light.

Sunlit Portraits was formed in 2004 and is a member of the Professional Photographers of America. In 2007, Rhonda earned her first merited competition print enjoyed by only about 20% of entrants.
